Roberta & Alexander's Wedding
Roberta's Story.
My husband proposed at the top of a snowy mountain on a woodland path in Austria, in February 2019. It was the perfect proposal.
We planned to have a large marquee summer wedding in 2020 with 150 guests. Unfortunately however, Covid hit so we had to cancel everything.
We eventually decided upon a revised date in September for a small autumnal wedding with the maximum number of 30 guests. Due to the change of plans, we had to change our venue, a large marquee designed for 150+ guests in the height of summer was sadly no longer appropriate.
We discovered our wedding venue just 6 weeks before we were due to get married! It was the exclusive use of a beautiful country house hotel called Widbrook Grange.
The wedding day was everything we could have asked for. We were married in a small country church in Winterbourne Bassett and travelled to Widbrook Grange for our reception. The flowers were provided by the very talented Flower Factory in Swindon, the bride's and bridesmaids' hair was styled by Georgie Kate Hairstylist and Makeup Artist and the wonderful photos were taken by the incredible Nicola Legg Photography.
Although we had a Covid wedding and not the wedding that we had originally planned, it was absolutely perfect. We were surrounded by love with our closest friends and family in the most beautiful setting and we couldn't have asked for anything more. I think the photos describe it all.
